Creating Leaders of Tomorrow

Branford Scouting has been building citizenship, leadership skills, and a spirit of adventure in youth for over 10 years, serving ages 5–20 through four dynamic programs.

Through experiential learning, Branford scouts experience adventures from ice climbing to sailing in the Florida Keys, with campouts all year round for our older scouts. Our commitment to country is reflected in where we meet—serving our veterans at Branford’s VFW Post 12106—and through meaningful experiences like our recent trip to Washington, D.C., where scouts participated in the Changing of the Guard at Arlington National Cemetery and presented a wreath in honor of our fallen heroes.

Our younger Cub Scouts also demonstrate patriotism by marching in parades and placing flags at cemeteries, just like their older peers. They enjoy fun and discovery at weekly meetings and through memorable outings, such as an overnight at the Norwalk Maritime Center, sleeping aboard the World War II battleship USS Massachusetts, and exploring the EcoTarium museum. This year, our Cubs will experience an evening at the New England Air Museum.

Branford Scouting services the town of Branford and well beyond. Check us out on the web to see the great things Scouting in Branford can do to make a difference in the world!
