'A Musical Salute to Veterans' Sunday at Brookfield Library
10th annual musical salute, sponsored by the Brookfield Historical Society.

Billy Michael and his band, J and B Lite, will perform at a free concert to honor local Brookfield and area veterans on Sunday afternoon, Nov. 3, 2013 at 2 p.m.
The performance will be held in the community room of the Brookfield Public Library, located at 182 Whisconier Road (Rt.25). The event is part of the Community’s 10th annual Veteran’s program, “A Musical Salute to Veterans”, sponsored by the Brookfield Historical Society and the Brookfield Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 10201.
Michael, who leads the group, will present a selection of popular music, which emerged during America’s military campaigns from the Civil War thru World War I and II and up to the present time.
He will be Joined by Sarah Fay and Serina Quinsland Moore, both of Brookfield, who will provide female vocal accompaniment appearing as the Veteranettes.
In addition, three decorated wartime area veterans will be honored for their military service.
Following the performance complimentary refreshments will be served. Admission is free and the general public is invited to attend.
