3 Brookfield Boston Marathon Runners Reported 'OK'
Scores injured, multiple dead after explosion near Boston Marathon finish line Monday.

Dozens of people were injured by two explosions near the Boston marathon finish line Monday afternoon. There are multiple reports of victims with missing limbs, bloodied heads and other extremely serious injuries. WBZ4 reported at least a dozen victims with "grave injuries."
Brookfield marathon runner Karen Raps finished the race shortly before the bomb went off, according to her husband Joe Raps, who said he spoke with her briefly after the explosion and confirmed that she is unharmed.
Runner Peter Lofink's daughter Erin reported in the comments below that her father is also fine and on his way home to Brookfield. A friend of marathoner Jim Harron also commented stating that he is safe and on his way home, as well.

Two other Brookfield residents were also signed up to run. Calls to their Brookfield residences were unanswered.
Raps said that, from what he has heard, most of the injuries being reported are to spectators lining the roadway, not the runners themselves.

Massachusetts Emergency Management Agency confirms there were explosions but has not released any further details. Public Safety blogger Alert New England reported that all ambulances in the area were diverted to the scene.
Boston EMS is setting up triage on Boylston, with thousands of police and emergency personnel on scene. Anyone looking for a runner is being directed by Boston Police to go to Boston Common.
WBZ-TV is reporting there was a fire at the John F. Kennedy Library just after the explosions.
One eyewitness, Jennifer Curro, said she was right next to the Prudential Center when she heard two explosions.
"It was the loudest thing I've ever heard," she said. "It stopped us in our tracks."
