Bear Partially Eats Donkey in Kent: Report

Authorities say the donkey was partially eaten.

KENT, CT — The state's Department of Energy and Environmental Protection says that a bear killed a donkey on an estate in Kent on May 21, reports the News Times. The bear took one of Edward Hoffman's four miniature donkey's, but spared three others.

First Selectman Bruce Adams said that this was the first attack of livestock in town. The DEEP has set traps for the bear, but it is still on the run.
