Brookfield Firefighters Douse Utility Pole Blaze
Roads were closed for several hours due to the fire.
BROOKFIELD, CT — A utility pole fire near the "Graffiti Bridge" in Brookfield caused an overnight road closure Sunday morning, according to the Brookfield Volunteer Fire Department. Eversource was called to shut the power off to the area, and firefighters responded and extinguished the fire.
According to a report from the News Times, several roads in the area were closed overnight. Some eversource customers lost power.
No injuries were reported during the response.
