Animal Embassy: Athletes of the Animal Kingdom, Tuesday, July 26, 3:30-4:30 p.m.

  • With this interactive, educational and entertaining program, families will encounter a diversity of creatures with amazing athletic skills. We’ll meet frogs that furiously unfurl their tongues to catch insects & giant prey, lizards that mark their territory with vigorous push-ups, rabbits that escape predators by sprinting, and birds that can fly formidable distances! We’ll discuss how some of these skills help each animal athlete to survive in its habitat as well as why, like us, our animal friends need a nutrient-rich & healthy diet to support their activities. We will explore a myriad of athletic feats with live Animal Ambassadors such as a Veiled Chameleon, an Argentine Black & White Tegu, Gray Tree Frogs, a Rabbit, a Carpet Python, a Eurasian Eagle Owl and a Lovebird. Ages 4+. No Registration Required. See our Kids Calendar for more fun events.

Free Student Practice Tests at TheBrookfield Library Saturday, August 6, 9:00 a.m.

  • C2 Education will be providing a free Diagnostic Test to all students between 4th and 12th grade. For the 4th-7th grade students, the CAT (California Achievement Test) will be provided. For the 8th grade students, the PSAT (preliminary Scholastic Aptitude Test) will be provided. For the 9th-12th grade students, the SAT (Scholastic Aptitude Test) will be provided. The goal of a Diagnostic Test (DT) is not only to measure students' understanding of a subject area or skills base but to also prepare students for their "official" test during the school year. After taking the DT, the student will give back the answers to one of our C2 Education staff members on site. We will then analyze the results in the afternoon and send an e-mail the following day to the parents regarding the test result. The CAT test will take around 2 hours and the PSAT/SAT will take 3 hours. Please register online or by phone by August 5.
