Brookfield Man Charged with DUI: Bethel Police

Police say the man was seen driving in the wrong lane of traffic.

BETHEL, CT — Following a report of erratic driving, police arrested a Brookfield man on Shelter Rock Road for driving under the influence Sunday evening. Robert Vosburgh, 57, was arrested after police say they saw him driving in the opposite lane of traffic.

According to Bethel Police, officers responded to a report of an erratic driver and found Vosburgh's car as it made a left turn to stay on Shelter Rock Road. As the car made the turn, it traveled north in the southbound lane, police say.

When officers stopped the vehicle, they saw that Vosburgh had bloodshot eyes and slurred speech when he spoke. He was determined to be under the influence and arrested.

Vosburgh was charged with operating under the influence, failure to drive upon right and operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license He was released on a $100 bond and is due in Danbury Superior Court on April 24.
