Brookfield Resident Shirley J. Butler Passed Away
The Brookfielder was Shirley was a member and past President of the Brewster Volunteer Firemans Ladies Auxiliary .

Brookfield, CT — Shirley J. Butler, a life long resident of Brewster, NY and Matlacha, FL passed away on Wednesday morning the 22nd of June, surrounded by her family.
Shirley, had just recently moved back to Brookfield, CT with her daughter Lori DePalma.
She is predeceased by her husband Edward V. Butler Sr., her daughter, Darlene K. Butler, and her brother James Linkenhoker of Brewster, NY.

Mrs. Butler leaves behind her daughter Lori DePalma who was her care giver in FL and with whom she made her home with since their return back north to Brookfield, CT just 3 weeks ago. She also leaves behind a son, Edward V. Butler Jr. of Brewster, NY. Five grandchildren, Jason DePalma of Naples, Fl., Richard DePalma Jr & wife Deanna of Carmel, NY, Andrew DePalma & fiance, Alyssa Shaffer of Brookfield, CT and their soon to be born baby girl, A granddaughter Shelley Butler & fiance Samuel Crews of Newtown, CT. Granddaughter Katylynn Huff & husband Robert of Brewster, NY, and also leaving behind, was her first great grandchild, her pride and joy Joseph Huff. Also surviving are her twin sisters Libby McBath, of North Ft, Myers, FL and Eva Bagloe of Great Barrington, MA, as well numerous nieces and nephews.
Shirley was a member and past President of the Brewster Volunteer Firemans Ladies Auxillary and after moving to FL, was also a member of the Pine Islands, Matlacha Firemans Auxillary. Shirley also was a member of the "Matlacha Hookers", which is a volunteer organization that explicitly raises monies for the Pine Island children. Shirley will be greatly missed by her numerous friends and family, both in Florida and here back at home.

Shirley Butler had chosen The Marrow Program to help children in need of Bone Marrow transplants, as her husband and daughter both died from Leukemia. Hendrick Marrow Program 4400 Papa Joe Hendrick Blvd, Charlotte, NC 28262.
