Brookfield School Buildings Possibly Set for Upgrade: Report

The town will assess the needs of the four school buildings, and decide the next steps in the fall.

BROOKFIELD, CT — The district's school buildings aren't getting any younger, and school officials are taking steps to upgrade the building, reports the News Times. The district is putting together a master plan to identify needs of the buildings.

The master plan will also help the Board of Education decide on additions or renovations to the Huckleberry Hill Elementary School, or the construciton of a new school. The district seeks a firm to assess the four school building, and the project is a part of the town's 10-year capital plan.
