Christine Specce Santarsiere, 91, of Brookfield, Passed Away Peacefully

BROOKFIELD, CT — Christine (Specce) Santarsiere, 91, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family, on August 13 at the Regional Hospice and Health Care in Danbury. Christine was born in Brooklyn, NY on September 9, 1924 to Ralph and Henrietta (Spina) Specce. Christine married Ralph Santarsiere, on October 2, 1949, a love that endured for over 67 years.

Christine stayed at home to raise her four children, and then went to work at the family business, Main Radio and TV in Danbury for many years until her retirement. Christine enjoyed playing golf and bridge and especially loved to travel. She was predeceased by her daughter Susan Hackney, her brother Gerard Specce, and her sister Joan Newberg.Besides her husband Ralph, Christine leaves behind her children, Jane Santarsiere and her partner Gary Domby of Portland, Oregon, Patricia and Paul Biron of Thomaston, Connecticut, Richard and Haijing Santarsiere of Denver, Colorado, and Wayne Hackney of Greenland, New Hampshire. She also leaves behind her grandchildren, Kristen and Jason Pozzi, Brian and Laura Hackney, Matthew and Caitlyn Biron, Kate and Troy Williams, and Michelle Biron. She also leaves behind her beloved great-grandchildren, Devin, Bianca, Kayla and Jaida Pozzi, Nicholas and Conner Hackney, and Troy and Ellie Williams.

Christine will be remembered as a loving and caring mother and grandmother who unselfishly always put her family first. Above all she cherished her lifelong relationship with her husband Ralph.
