Crash Into Guardrail Leads to DUI

A Brookfield man was charged with driving under the influence after hitting a guardrail on West Whisconier Road early Sunday.

On June 30 at 3:03 a.m., Michael Biolsi, 22, of Lexington Drive, Brookfield, was located on Stony Hill Road at West Whisconier Road after having crashed his vehicle into the guardrail on West Whisconier Road.

Biolsi was uninjured and confirmed that he was the operator of the vehicle.

While investigating the crash, officer’s believed that Biolsi was under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol. Standardized field sobriety tests were administered and based on his performance, Biolsi was taken into custody and charged with operating under the influence, failure to drive in proper lane and failure to renew registration.

He was released on $500 bond pending a court appearance set for July 12.
