Elderly Couple Saved From Burning Home in Bridgewater: Report

BRIDGEWATER, CT — A volunteer firefighter and the son of an elderly couple helped free the couple from a burning home Tuesday night, reports the News Tmes. The son, who lives in an apartment on the property acted quickly to raise a ladder to the couple's window.

The firefighter, who lived nearby, Quickly responded to the scene. The firefighter and the couple were hospitalized due to smoke inhalation, but were in apparently good condition, according to the report.

The home was a complete loss.
