Former Brookfield Resident Ronald Joseph Papile, 47, Passed Away
Ronald worked as a Corrections Officer for the Connecticut Department of Corrections and dreamed of pastoring a church.

BROOKFIELD, CT — Ronald Joseph Papile, 47, of Granby, beloved husband for 21 years of Jennie Lynn (Dean) Papile, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 4, 2016, at St. Francis Hospital surrounded by his family. Born in New Rochelle, NY on October 7, 1968, son of Rosemarie (Lore) Papile of Brookfield, and the late John Papile. He was raised in Farmingville, NY and had lived in Brookfield, Naugatuck, and Watertown, before moving to Granby nine years ago.
Ronald was a graduate of Sachem High School, Class of 1986, and was an excellent athlete. He competed and taught gymnastics for many years. After high school, he continued his education at Western Connecticut State University, graduating with a BA in English and Secondary Education and later at Andersonville Theological Seminary in Camilla, GA where he received his Ph.D. in Theology.
Ronald worked as a Corrections Officer for the Connecticut Department of Corrections and dreamed of pastoring a church. His health prevented him from pursuing many of his passions but his strong faith in God never wavered. As a natural teacher, he always supported his daughters and others by helping them with their school work and outside interests. He read the Bible daily and was a mentor to many. Ronald used his strong faith and life experiences to help those around him and to share the Gospel.
