Former Brookfielder, Med Student Dies in Apparent Suicide Jump: Report
The former Brookfield woman apparently jumped from her eighth floor dorm room window to her death, according to police.

BROOKFIELD, CT — A 27-year-old former Brookfielder who was a medical student was found on the sidewalk beneath her Mount Sinai dorm room early Wednesday morning in an apparent suicide,according to Gothamist.
Kathryn Stascavage, who grew up in Brookfield, Connecticut, was studying orthopedics, according to her biography in a 2011 Greenwich Hospital newsletter, and also studied Biomedical Engineering at Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken undergrad.
According to the NYPD, it appears that Stascavage jumped from her apartment on the eighth floor. She was brought to Mount Sinai and was later pronounced dead at around 5:20 a.m. when she was found unconscious and unresponsive.

Stascavage graduated in the Top 10 of her class from Immaculate High School in Danbury in 2007 where she excelled at soccer and academics.
