Four Brookfield Town Vehicles Up for Auction

Minimum bids range from $1,000 to $6,500.

The town is auctioning off four vehicles that have been taken out of the motor pool and is accepting bids from now through 9 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 5.

Vehicles up for auction include a sedan, a SUV, an extended van and a truck with detachable flatbed.

Bids must be delivered to the Department of Public Works in a sealed envelope before Dec. 5.

Bids should include the VIN number and description of the vehicle printed clearly on the outside of the envelope and a completed bid form [see document attached] with the printed name and signature of the bidder.

A separate envelope must be submitted for each vehicle being bid on.

Additional information can be obtained from the Public Works Office in Town Hall and the vehicles can be viewed at the Public Works Garage on Gray’s Bridge Road.

2007 Ford Crown Victoria — Minimum Bid: $2,000

Body in poor to fair condition. Paint damage. Driver window does not work. Rear Pinion is bad. Left rear axle seal is leaking. Possible transmission slip. Engine runs well.

2005 Ford Explorer — Minimum Bid: $1,000

Rust around wheel wells. Paint damage. Pinion and axle seals and struts are leaking. Bad front wheel bearing and bad rear breaks. Transmission problems. No reverse. Engine runs well.

1997 Ford E-350 Extended Window Van — Minimum Bid: $1,500

Rust and paint damage. Broken driver side window. Transmission and engine in good condition.

2001 UD 2300 LP — Minimum Bid: $6,500

Not road worthy. Known defects in oil line to compressor, water pump, fuel filter and steering lines. Transmission and engine in good condition. Vehicle is equipped with a detachable flatbed (4-5 years old) in great condition. Also includes a plow in good condition and a stainless steel sander that needs work.
