Man Accused of Murder, Sexual Assault in New Fairfield: State Police
The charges were filed in connection with the discovery of a body in a home on Candlewood Lake Drive on May 2.

NEW FAIRFIELD, CT — A man arrested in connection the murder of a 55-year-old woman was charged with murder and sexual assault Friday. Steven Flood, 32, was charged in connection with the death of Susan Guido, who was found dead May 2 on Candlewood Drive.
Flood was charged with third degree larceny shortly after Guido was found dead. Police say she died of blunt force trauma to the head. Flood's address was listed as the same address where Guido's body had been found, but did not describe the relationship between the two.

He was charged with criminal trespassing, larceny in the third degree, murder-victim of sexual assault in the first degree, felony murder, aggravated sexual assault in the first degree, and sexual assault in spousal/cohab relationship.
He was held on a $1 million bond.
