Man Killed in Fiery New Fairfield Crash: State Police

BREAKING: Another man suffered serious injuries.

NEW FAIRFIELD, CT — An unidentified driver was killed after a car burst into flames after crashing into a utility pole in New Fairfield Sunday, according to the Connecticut State Police. Police say the identity of the driver is unknown, and was declared dead on the scene of the Rte. 39 crash.

His passenger, a 45-year-old man from Rochester, NY, was transported to Danbury Hospital with serious injures. Police say the investigation is active and remains ongoing.
