Marion A. Side, 87, Longtime Brookfield Resident, Passed Away Peacefully
Marion was a devoted member of the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Brookfield and an active volunteer in her community.
BROOKFIELD, CT — Marion A. (Kohn) Side of Hackettstown, NJ, and former longtime resident of Brookfield, CT, passed away peacefully on July 16, 2016, surrounded by the love of her family. Marion was born in New York City to Florence and Walter Kohn on July 2, 1929. She was married to the late William G. Side for 64 loving years.
Marion and Bill started their family in Syosset, NY and later moved to Brookfield, CT. Marion is survived by her son, Ken (Elizabeth), of Ridgefield, CT and daughter, Carolyn (Tim) Norton of Hackettstown, NJ. She was the loving Grandmother of Samantha, Abigail, Kevin and Veronica Side and TJ and Aiden Norton.She devoted much of her life to raising her children and spending quality time with her family. She and Bill also loved to travel and were able to see many parts of the world.
Her greatest joy came when the family was all together, enjoying their home on Candlewood Lake.Marion had been a devoted member of the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Brookfield, CT and an active volunteer in her community. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.There will be a private service for immediate family members at the Cochran Funeral Home in New Jersey.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be sent in Marion's name to Karen Ann Quinlan Hospice, 99 Sparta Avenue, Newton, NJ, 07860.Funeral Arrangements are under the direction of Cochran Funeral Home, 905 High Street, Hackettstown, NJ 07840.
