Mary Theresa (Deierlein) Muzzio, 81, Passed Away

Mary Theresa (Deierlein) Muzzio, formerly of Norwalk, died peacefully in her sleep at her Village of Brookfield residence on July 2, 2016. She was 81.

Mrs. Muzzio was born and raised in Greenwich and graduated from Sacred Heart Academy in Stamford. After graduating, she enjoyed her career as a dental office administrator in Greenwich. She met Amil W. Muzzio Sr. through friends and they were happily married for 52 years. Mary decided to become at stay at home mother and raise her two children.

As a young woman, Mary was a very active member of The Newman Social and Charity Club in Stamford and always a devoted Roman Catholic.

She is survived by her husband, Amil W. Muzzio, Sr., her son A. William Muzzio, Jr., his wife, Tricia and their daughters Allie and Sophie all of Sandy Hook, her daughter Katherine Grigg, her husband Edward and their son Kaz, of Norwalk and also by her beloved sister, Elizabeth Lockwoood, her husband Roger and their three children, Karen, Gigi's and Karl of FL previously of Norwalk. She will be dearly missed.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am on July 18 in St. Rose of Lima Church Newtown, interment to follow at St. John's Cemetery in Norwalk.
