New Pickelball​ Courts In Brookfield Much Closer To Reality: Report

A nearly $500,000 grant was secured for the project.

BROOKFIELD, CT — The town received a $489,000 grant which will help fund the construction of new pickelball courts at the Town Hall campus, the Danbury News Times reported.

The town will also contribute about $100,000 toward making the project a reality. The project still needs to be approved by the Board of Finance and then at a special town meeting. Initially, town leaders hoped to put the pickelball courts at Williams Park but residents objected to that location.
