Shalom Lampell, 84, of Brookfield, Passed Away
The Brookfield man was a member of Congregation B'Nai Israel of Danbury. The family will observe a period of mourning beginning on Sunday.

BROOKFIELD, CT — Shalom Lampell, 84, of Brookfield, husband of Pamela (Small) Lampell, died on Thursday, August 18, 2016 at Danbury Hospital. Mr. Lampell was born in Baia Sprie, Romania, October 29, 1931, son of the late David and Miriam (Kepes) Lampell. At the age of 13, Mr. Lampell immigrated from Romania to Israel where he resided until 1954 when he immigrated to the United States, first settling in New York.
He attended schools in Romania, Israel. Upon immigrating to the United States, he attended Columbia University and graduated from the University of Bridgeport. An area resident for the past thirty three years coming from New York, Mr. Lampell was a retired engineer with Kraft Foods. He enjoyed table tennis and was a member of Congregation B'Nai Israel of Danbury. In addition to his wife of fifty four years, Mr. Lampell is survived by two daughters, Lisa G. Lampell of New York, NY and Ilana Lampell of Falls Church, VA; a sister, Judith Waldhorn of Plainview, NY and by a grandson, Jonah Lampell.
The family will observe a period of mourning (Shiva) at the Lampell Residence from Sunday, August 21, 2016 through Thursday, August 25, 2016 with Minyan each evening at 6:30 p.m.
