State Representative Steve Harding Honored with MADD Public Policy Award
Rep. Harding, who represents the 107th district of Brookfield, Bethel and Danbury, will be honored with the MADD Public Policy Award.
HARTFORD, CT – State Rep. Stephen Harding (R-107), proudly received notice recently that he was selected for a Public Policy Award from the Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) Organization of Connecticut.
The Public Policy Award is presented to individuals who have dedicated their time and commitments to promoting safe and sober driving through effective legislation. Rep. Harding is being honored for his legislative efforts to enact Public Act 16-182, which institutes a Diversionary Program for drivers under 21 who have committed violations and crimes relating to underage drinking; and Public Act 16-126, concerning child passenger endangerment while driving under the influence.
“I am so grateful to have been a part of making these laws become a reality,” said Rep. Harding. “This recognition means a great deal, and I plan to continue fighting for legislation that protects our residents out on the road.”
