What's The Future For Brookfield? Residents Will Have Their Say

A new online survey of Brookfield residents will help the town identify priority issues and opportunities.

BROOKFIELD, CT — Brookfield officials are looking to residents for help planning the town's direction.

The Town of Brookfield is updating its Plan of Conservation and Development, with online input from the people who live there.

A POCD is an official, long-range planning document that provides policy guidance for future decisions about zoning, land use, housing, community and cultural facilities, parks and open space, natural resources, economic development, transportation, and infrastructure. The Public Survey for the 2025 Brookfield POCD will be open from Jan. 27 through Feb. 16.

The "critical" survey aims to help the planning team identify priority issues and opportunities and begin to consider policies and recommendations that have community support, according to town economic development executives.

The survey will be available online here, and print copies are available at the Brookfield Library and Brookfield Senior Center.
