The Canton Parks and Recreation Department is offering a musical theatre class.
Children will spend eight weeks working on performance skills including character scenes, monologues, songs, and dances from shows like Grease, Annie, Fiddler on the Roof, Cinderella, Wicked and others! The final day of class their work will be showcased for family and friends.

Musical Theatre Acting Class is designed to develop stage performance skills by preparing and presenting a live performance! Skills children will learn include:
acting, stage movement, vocal techniques, improvisation, and more! No previous experience is necessary.

Our goal for each child involved is to feel successful learning stage crafts that culminate in an exciting live production. All participants will have the opportunity
to work on the many different elements of creating a live production including solos, group songs, dances, and scenes in a mini “Broadway style” variety show.
Registration is open to children ages 4th – 8th grades Space is limited.
This 8 week class will be offered Mondays from 4:00-5:30beginning the week of Sept. 23 through November, 11. There will be no class on Columbus Day
or Veterans Day. Performance will take place at 4:30 on November 25.
Cost is $150.00 per child, For children ages 4th - 8th grade
