Honda, who launched a massive effort to help save Drive-In Theaters, has said it will purchase four more digital projectors. The company has also extended its fan-based "vote" to pick the winning Drive-Ins through Sept. 21.
Many in the region have pitched in to try and "save" the Pleasant Valley Drive-In in Barkhamsted.
The theatre, operated continuously since 1947, is one of several across the country that is facing an uphill battle to raise the $80,000 needed to covert to the digital format.
