Hundreds of hikes will be held this weekend for Connecticut Trails Day. The Cheshire Land Trust will hold an unofficial trails day hike on Sunday at 11 a.m. to the Thomas Pool Memorial Preserve.
Hikers should meet at the end of Cornwall Avenue past Mountain Road near the water tanks. Bring water and wear good hiking boots.
The preserve offers views from the Prospect Ridge along the Connecticut Forest and Park Association's Blue-Blazed Hiking Trail.
