
Join the Cheshire Rotary Club on Thursday at noon to hear about the accomplishments of special education teacher Francisca Velazco Castro.
Francisa graduated from the University of Colima in Mexico with a major in special education and worked with special needs children at a migrant labor camp sponsored by Project Amigo in Colima.
In the fall of 2010 Project Amigo started the program at the Queseria Migrant Labor Camp that gives children living with disabilities the opportunity to learn, to make new friends and to be part of their community.

Francisca was able to instill confidence and inspire self-esteem with the belief that despite their challenges these children have something to offer and share.
