
Laura McNamara, who has worked for 25 years in food service at Cheshire Public Schools, has been honored for her 25-year tenure by the School Nutrition Association of Connecticut
The school nutrition association is composed of 4,000 professional school nutrition employees who provide about 350,000 healthy meals to over 500,000 students in more than 1,000 Connecticut schools.
The group has a vision to ensure that all children in the Connecticut school systems have access to nutritional meals everyday as part of their educational experience and address issues dealing with food allergies, food quality, meeting state and federal nutritional guidelines, funding and most importantly the health of children and adolescents in Connecticut.
