
The Cheshire Police Department will be conducting a safety and sobriety checkpoint on Saturday between the 6 p.m. and 2 a.m.
Possible locations for the checkpoint will be on state highway Rts.10, 70, 68 or 42.
Motorists are reminded to use seatbelts and use a designated driver if they plan on drinking.

In addition to the checkpoints, there will be additional officers assigned to look for DUI, cell phone use and occupant safety issues over the long holiday weekend from July 1-4.
