Travel Softball Program Holds Try-outs

The Cheshire Flames are a travel softball program within CYS and the teams play travel games in addition to the CYS regular season. Our Mission is to provide opportunity to the girls in Cheshire to play in a travel softball program. The only requirement is that the players must play in the CYS regular in-town season.

Tryouts will be for our two 12U teams and our 10U team. All 3 teams will play a CVFL schedule, which is a travel softball league (approximately 14 games).  Each team will also play in 2 tournaments.

In addition to these 2 tournaments, the 10U team will represent the town at the 10U state tournament and the two 12U teams will have a tryout later in the summer to pick girls from each team to represent the town, not all girls will be able to play in state tournament at 12U. The tournaments and most  CVFL games will take place after the CYS recreation season.

Tryouts will be held at Cheshire Park. The tryout dates and times are as follows:

10U:Saturday March 26^th    10 am – 1 pm

11U/12U: Sunday March 27^th     10 am – 1 pm

 The fee to play for the Flames is $250. This is in addition to the CYS fee of $135 that all kids have already paid. More information about the Flames organization can be found at www.cybball.org.
