Youth Flag Rugby Program

Flag rugby is a non-contact sport (similar to flag football, with no tackling) that provides kids with a safe, fun, opportunity to learn the newest Olympic sport!

  •  Perfect for kids of all sizes & abilities to learn this exciting sport.
  •  The emphasis is on learning skills, teamwork, and having fun!
  •  No experience or equipment is needed. Bring a friend!
  •  Rugby was recently added as a sport for the 2016 Summer Olympics.
  •  For boys & girls entering grades 1-8.

Open to residents of Cheshire, Southington, Meriden & all surrounding towns.

  • No experience needed, but be ready to have fun!
  • Come with a friend.
  • Mouthguards & cleats required, no other equipment needed ($50 fee includes t-shirt).
  • Offered through Cheshire Parks & Rec Department

When & Where?

  • Meets 2 times per week for 6 weeks at Quinnipiac Recreation Area, 1325 Cheshire St.
  • Thursdays (6:30-8:00pm) & Saturdays (9:00-11:00am)
  • Starts on June 23 & runs for 6 weeks
