Calvary Life Church Pays $300,000 for Office

Administrative services for the church will operate from a business condo on Highland Avenue. The church building collapsed in February.

After their 32,000-square-foot-building collapsed in February from a heavy snow load, members of the Calvary Life Family Worship Center have been meeting in school auditoriums in Cheshire.

Plans call for the congregation to rebuild the worship center on East Johnson Avenue, which was only three years old. However, administrators now have a new office location in which to run the church's daily operations.

A spokesperson said Thursday that John Muratori, the church's senior pastor, and other staff members have moved into an office at 1486 Highland Ave.

The church purchased the office space for $300,000 on May 23 from Marie S. Bradbury, according to property records. The office is located in a business condo complex near East Johnson Avenue.

The church's website asks for donations to rebuild the church and lists about $3,000 has been donated since February. Members and supporters may use their PayPal account to donate online, according to the website.
