After a two months of racking up endorsements around the state, Chris Murphy wrapped up the near daily announcements of support with one from his "hometown" Cheshire Democratic Town Committee. Starting on May 3, the campaign released the name of a new Democratic leader or group of leaders who had joined Murphy's campaign. Since announcing his campaign in January, Murphy has raised $1.1 million in the first quarter of the campaign, and, according to a campaign statement, is expecting to have a strong second quarter.
