Edward Silvestro, 90, of Cheshire, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Sept. 10, 2013 at the MidState Medical Center, Meriden.
Edward was born in New Haven on July 17, 1923, the son of the late Gasparino and Elizabeth Cuomo Silvestro. He served his country faithfully in the U.S. Navy during WW II and had worked as an Office Controller for St. Vincent's Hospital in Bridgeport.
Edward is survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Predeceased by his siblings Albert Silvestro, Sarah Malin, Florence Rice, Frank and Casper Silvestro, Louise Cozzi and a dear friend Henry "Mac" McAvay.
