Construction Projects Start Soon In Cheshire

CHESHIRE, CT — Officials are advising residents of two construction projects that are starting next week in Cheshire.

NOTICE OF CONSTRUCTION - LAKEVIEW AVENUE

Construction for improvements to the culvert located on Lakeview Avenue is anticipated to begin on or about July 14, 2025, with a duration of 90 days. Improvements to the culvert are intended to provide additional safeguards to help prevent both pedestrian and vehicle accidents.

Lakeview Avenue is the only means of access for all residents of Lakeview Avenue, Andrew Avenue, and Larson Avenue. Access to all properties will be maintained. Questions may be directed to the Department of Engineering at 203-271-6650 or by email at DPWengineering@cheshirect.gov.

NOTICE OF CONSTRUCTION - PORTIONS OF MARION ROAD & JARVIS STREET

Construction for sidewalks along portions of Marion Road & Jarvis Street is anticipated to begin on or about July 14, 2025, with a duration of 60 days. Access to all properties will be maintained.

The sidewalk extensions and upgrades are intended to create connectivity of existing sidewalks and to provide a safe pedestrian route to the future school from nearby neighborhoods.
