Former Cheshire Baseball Coach to be Inducted into Hall of Fame

Burt Leventhal led the Rams to three state championships.

Former Cheshire High School baseball coach Burt Leventhal will be inducted into the Connecticut High School Coaches Association Hall of Fame this fall.

Leventhal along with seven other coaches and one sports reporter will be honored at the 35th annual ceremony on Nov. 17 at the Aqua Turf in Southington at 7 p.m.

During his tenure at CHS, Leventhal won 380 games, garnering three state championships and six league titles. He coached the Rams for 33 years and was named the association's 1993 Coach of the Year.
