Obituary: John Poulin, 81, of Cheshire

John was known for his strength, endurance and fun-loving spirit. He was a hard-working steelworker and dedicated family man.

CHESHIRE, CT - (From Alderson-Ford Funeral Home) John Poulin, 81, passed away on Saturday, December 11, 2021, at home, peacefully surrounded by his loving family after battling a long illness.

He taught us what strength and endurance truly are. He was the husband of Elaine (Boudle) Poulin.

Mr. Poulin was born December 2, 1940, in Canada. The son of the late Wilfred and Mary Rose (Gilbert) Poulin.

He was a hard-working Steelworker, who was dedicated to his family. He had a great love for his family and life and a passion for The Yankees and Fords.

In honor of his fun-loving spirit take a long drive with good music and good company and enjoy the ride!

Mr. Poulin’s family would like to thank the staff of Franciscan Home Care for their care and compassion.

In addition to his loving and devoted wife of 59 years, Mr. Poulin is survived by his daughters Emma Nealy and son-in-law Allen Nealy, Josephine Harnois and her husband Ken , his grandchildren Nicolette and her husband Mike, Allen Jr., Jaimie, Kenny, and Sarah and his beloved nephews, nieces, cousins and dear friends.

In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his brother Larry Poulin and grandson John Robert.

Arrangements – Funeral services and burial in Cheshire Hillside Cemetery will be held at the convenience of the family and there are no calling hours. The of Cheshire is assisting with arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to Franciscan Home Care.
