Pot Plants Discovered and Destroyed; Spotted by State Police in Helicopter
No arrests yet in discovery of nearly 50 marijuana plants growing in Cheshire.
A summertime fly-over of Cheshire by the Connecticut State Police located 49 marijuana plants in a heavily wooded area on Monday.
Cheshire Police Department spokesman Lt. James Fasano said Tuesday that aerial searches are typically done this time of year. "They look for areas that are cleared," he said.
No arrests have been made, Fasano said. "We've found (plants) before in Cheshire with helicopters and our ATVs. Those officers look too," he said.
