The Connecticut State Police report there were four fatal accidents over the Memorial Day weekend. That's compared to one fatality in 2010. The statistics are compiled from midnight Friday until 5 p.m. Monday. The enforcement effort also resulted in 70 DUI arrests and more than 2,000 tickets issued for speeding. State police responded to 260 accidents with 18 non-fatal injuries.
