Thousands of Tickets Issued in State During Holiday Weekend
Number of fatalities more than triples from 2010.

The Connecticut State Police report there were four fatal accidents over the Memorial Day weekend. That's compared to one fatality in 2010.
The statistics are compiled from midnight Friday until 5 p.m. Monday. The enforcement effort also resulted in 70 DUI arrests and more than 2,000 tickets issued for speeding. State police responded to 260 accidents with 18 non-fatal injuries.
