Triple Murder Trial will Remain in New Haven

Judge denies the change of venue request to move the trial of accused murderer Joshua Komisarjevsky to Norwalk.

Superior Court Judge Jon C. Blue wrote in his Monday ruling that responses to a telephone poll about the guilt of Joshua Komisarjevsky were not "uniformly dismal," in the number of respondents who believed the accused triple murderer was guilty.

The judge also wrote that media reports "have unquestionably contained much negative information about Komisarjevksy," but Blue ruled the public's memory of the crime was also affected by a journal the defendant apparently wrote in jail and his own admitted guilt.

Blue concluded that the jury selection process was not to select 12 jurors "with empty heads."
