Fighting For His Life: Former Clinton Fire Chief Battling Brain Cancer
A fundraiser for Frank Schrempp is taking place in December.
Former Clinton Fire Chief and Fire Marshal Frank Schrempp is fighting for his life.
Schrempp was diagnosed with brain cancer and a benefit dinner to help support him and his family is taking place in December.
The Clinton Volunteer Fire Department shared the following fundraiser details on Facebook.

- When: 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 19
- Where: Clark Firemen’s Field, Elm Street, Old Saybrook
- Cost: $10 per person
Schrempp has been a volunteer firefighter in Clinton since 1977. He was elected fire chief at 31 years of age and appointed fire marshal in 2007.
Firefighters say he is a man of strong family values, hard work, dedication and a true friend.

“Many of us at CFD have known Frank for almost 30 years,” the Clinton Fire Department firefighters said via Facebook. “Frank is our friend and brother and he is currently fighting for his life due to illness. Please keep Frank and his family in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. Stay strong, Chief!”
