Search for Missing Christine McGugan Continues
Police confirmed the body found at Rocky Neck State Park was that of Christine McGugan.

Stonington-area resident Christine McGugan went missing on Thursday, Nov. 12. Since then, numerous posts have been shared on Facebook and other social media. A Silver Alert was issued on Friday, Nov. 13.

A social media campaign using #FindChristine has gained traction recently, according to The Day. Suggestions on locations where McGugan may be were shared on #FindChristine status updates via Facebook and include:

- Malls in Waterford
- Old Lyme
- Old Lyme Inn
- Niantic
- New London
- Mystic
- Stonington
- Misquamicut Beach
- Westerly, R.I.
- Providence Place Mall
- Old Saybrook
- Malls in Old Saybrook
- Madison
- Groton
- Foxwoods
- Mohegan Sun
- Clinton
- Clinton Shopping Areas
State police released a silver alert for McGugan with the following description:

- Age: 48
- Sex: female
- Race: white
- Hair: red
- Eyes: brown
- Height: 5’4”
- Weight: 110 lbs.
- Last seen wearing a gray sweater and black tights
- May possibly be operating a green 2003 Chevy Tahoe, CT reg # 719SBV, with two bumper stickers: a white and yellow Groton Long Point sticker and a Gwenmor Marina sticker
- Via #FindChristine, one woman said McGugan sometimes wears glasses with dark rims
- Missing from: Stonington
- Missing since: Nov. 12, 2015
McGugan is an employee of Randall REALTORS-Real Living’s Mystic branch, according to the Connecticut Association of Realtors Facebook page. She is listed on the Randall REALTORS website as having a B.A. from Roanoke College and worked in marketing and sales at Mystic Seaport for 10 years. Her profile page notes that she lives in Mystic.
Anyone with information on McGugan or anyone who locates her whereabouts is asked to contact the Stonington Police Department at 860-599-4411.
