Search for Missing Christine McGugan Continues

Stonington-area resident Christine McGugan went missing on Thursday, Nov. 12. Since then, numerous posts have been shared on Facebook and other social media. A Silver Alert was issued on Friday, Nov. 13.

A social media campaign using #FindChristine has gained traction recently, according to The Day. Suggestions on locations where McGugan may be were shared on #FindChristine status updates via Facebook and include:

• Waterford
• Malls in Waterford
• Old Lyme
• Old Lyme Inn
• Niantic
• New London
• Mystic
• Stonington
• Misquamicut Beach
• Westerly, R.I.
• Providence Place Mall
• Old Saybrook
• Malls in Old Saybrook
• Madison
• Groton
• Foxwoods
• Mohegan Sun
• Clinton
• Clinton Shopping Areas

State police released a silver alert for McGugan with the following description:

• Age: 48

• Sex: female

• Race: white

• Hair: red

• Eyes: brown

• Height: 5’4”

• Weight: 110 lbs.

• Last seen wearing a gray sweater and black tights

• May possibly be operating a green 2003 Chevy Tahoe, CT reg # 719SBV, with two bumper stickers: a white and yellow Groton Long Point sticker and a Gwenmor Marina sticker

• Via #FindChristine, one woman said McGugan sometimes wears glasses with dark rims

• Missing from: Stonington

• Missing since: Nov. 12, 2015

McGugan is an employee of Randall REALTORS-Real Living’s Mystic branch, according to the Connecticut Association of Realtors Facebook page. She is listed on the Randall REALTORS website as having a B.A. from Roanoke College and worked in marketing and sales at Mystic Seaport for 10 years. Her profile page notes that she lives in Mystic.
