Belligerent Danbury Man Fled Crash On Foot Then Reported His Car Stolen: Police
The accused was also found with crack cocaine, according to police.

DANBURY, CT — A city man was arrested after he allegedly fled a car crash on foot and caused a scene in the Danbury Police lobby. Police say Calvin Ward fled the scene of a crash on West Wooster Street and called Brookfield Police to report his car stolen before making his way to Danbury Police headquarters.
Police say the crash was reported at 6:09 p.m. on Aug. 8 and found that a man with a white shirt and red shorts fled the scene of the crash. Police say Ward's Subaru struck the side of a building, and witnesses told police Ward was the driver of the car.
Police say they later responded to the Danbury Police lobby where Ward was belligerent, yelling and swearing at officers. He was also found with crack cocaine.

Ward was charged with breach of peace, interfering with police duties, evading responsibility, failure to drive right, possession of crack cocaine and possession of narcotics with intent to sell.
He was released on a $25,000 bond and given a court date of Aug. 15.
