UPDATE: Danbury Firefighters On-Scene at Maple Avenue Fire: Breaking
This is an update regarding the fire that was reported Thursday afternoon near the corner of Garamella Boulevard.

UPDATE 2:30 p.m.
A fire broke out at an old factory on Maple Avenue early Tuesday afternoon, and was reported at around 1 p.m. by a worker at the facility, according to the News Times.
The fire was minor, but difficult to put out because of the heavy smoke and hot weather, the Times reports.

A fire on Maple Avenue that occurred early Thursday afternoon was started after a mattress caught fire, causing heavy smoke to build up inside the building, which appears to be abandoned, according to the Danbury News Times.

Ambulances were seen in the area, but no known injuries are being reported at this time, the Times reports.
The fire is now under control as of 1:30 p.m., the Times reports.
