Danbury Liquor Store Heavily Damaged By Fire: Report

BREAKING: The North Street store was the site of a 1999 murder.

DANBURY, CT — A local package store which was the scene of a murder in 1999 was heavily damaged by a fire Tuesday morning, reports the News Times. Gallo's Hi-Way Package Store suffered extensive fire and smoke damage between 6 and 6:30 a.m.

Firefighters remained on scene for a few hours after the fire was put out at 6:30 a.m. No injuries were reported.

Back in 1999, store manager Robert Gallo was murdered at the age of 45 on his 15th birthday. He was shot five times by two men who stole cheap brandy.
