Danbury Man Arrested For DUI With Weapons In Car: NPD
Police say the man was stopped near the state police boat ramp on Hanover Road.

NEWTOWN, CT — A Danbury man was arrested for driving under the influence with weapons in the car Sunday evening, according to Newtown Police. Jose Ernesto Miranda, 61, of Danbury was stopped after a suspicious vehicle parked in the back of the state boat ramp on Hanover Road.
Police said investigation of Miranda led to the seizure of marijuana and weapons. He was found with less than one-half ounce of marijuana. (To sign up for Newtown breaking news alerts and more, click here.)
Miranda was charged with operating under the influence of alcohol or drugs, possession of a controlled substance and weapons in vehicles. He was released on a $500 bond and is due in Danbury Superior Court on Oct. 31.
