Danbury Man Critically Injured After Fall From Scaffolding At Waterbury Church: Reports
A 65-year-old Danbury man was critically injured after falling from scaffolding at Our Lady of Lebanon Church in Waterbury.
DANBURY, CT — After initially reporting that a 65-year-old man had died after falling from scaffolding at a church in Waterbury, police said in an update on Monday night that the man was in critical condition and was undergoing medical treatment, according to multiple reports, including WTNH News 8.
The Waterbury Police Department said officers responded to 1544 Hamilton Ave., the site of Our Lady of Lebanon Church, around 7:16 a.m. to assist firefighters and EMS personnel after the fall.
The worker, identified as Alair Rosa Deoliveira of Danbury, fell approximately 16 feet and sustained a head injury, police said. He was transported to a local hospital for treatment.

Deoliveira’s family has been notified, and police said they are aware of the incident.
