Danbury Man Hit Bouncer With Beer Bottle, Police Say: Report

Police say they were called to a downtown bar for an unruly customer.

DANBURY, CT — A city man was arrested for allegedly assaulting a bar security guard with a beer bottle early Monday morning, according to a report from the News Times. Police responded to Zona Azul Bar and Lounge at around 1 a.m. for a customer that was asked to leave by bar security.

On the customer's way out, he struck the bouncer with a beer bottle. Police say the guard had a large lump on his head and a small cut on his face.

The customer, Edy Bolivar Medina of Danbury, plead not guilty in Superior Court and is due again Friday.
