Danbury Man Indicted On Federal Meth Trafficking Charge Following DUI Arrest
A Danbury man faces up to 40 years in prison after being indicted on a meth trafficking charge, officials said.
DANBURY, CT — A Danbury man has been indicted by a federal grand jury on a charge of possessing methamphetamine with intent to distribute, federal prosecutors announced Wednesday.
Brandt Mendelson, 30, was indicted June 17 and arrested on Tuesday. He was released on a $100,000 bond.
According to the indictment and court statements, Mendelson was stopped by Wallingford police on Jan. 18, 2025, and taken into custody for allegedly driving under the influence. Authorities said he was found in possession of counterfeit Adderall pills containing methamphetamine, which were packaged for shipment through the U.S. Mail.

If convicted, Mendelson faces a mandatory minimum sentence of five years in prison and a maximum of 40 years.
The investigation is being conducted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Wallingford Police Department. Officials emphasized that an indictment is not evidence of guilt.
