Danbury Police: Cocaine at Kenosia Park

Danbury Police reported they stopped a driver who had both cocaine and marijuana at Kenosia Park Wednesday.

Danbury Police saw a car in the parking lot at Kenosia Park at about 2:11 a.m. Wednesday, and the driver attempted to drive away when the police arrived. Officers attempted to stop the car, but it kept going. Police said they saw the driver toss something out the window, which later tested positive for cocaine. Police pulled the car over and charged the driver, Shakeen Spruill, 32, of Danbury, with driving without a license, disobeying the signal of a police officer, simple trespass, possession of marijuana (which was found in his car,) and possession of cocaine. Spruill was held on a $5,000 bond.

This information was provided by the Danbury Police Department. A person charged with a crime is innocent until having been convicted in court.
